Mildred B. BrooksMildred B. Brooks lived in New York and was the mother of Franklin Vanderbilt Brooks, Stanford ex-'96. She rented a cottage with Franklin in San Francisco during the summer of 1898, just before he left for the Philippines where he began a newspaper business.
