E B C LathropElizabeth Brewster (Champion) Lathrop (1818-1895) was the wife of Paoli Lathrop (1797-1872), who was descended from Samuel Lothrop (1622-1700) and Elizabeth Scudder Lothrop (1625-1690), the most recent common ancestor with Jane Lathrop Stanford. Elizabeth read of her famous relative and began a correspondence with Jane and her brother Charles G. Lathrop regarding the Lathrop family genealogy. She also provided artifacts and portraits intended for the Leland Stanford Jr. Museum and the Stanford University archives.
