wonder at the sorrow that I felt for you when I read abote [sic] your own dear boy how you both must have loved him coming as he did to brighten your home after waiting for his coming for so many years I have some idea what your feeling[s] were when you both saw him passing away from you, but I was so glad to learn that you were able to find comfort in ^ him who will never forsakes [sic] us if it had not been for the knowledge that it was a kind loving father that was dealing with me & that it was the good sheapard [sic] that took the little lambs in his loving arms to a home where I shall go some day my heart would have been broken for I did want to keep my little boys so very much so my dear Mrs Stanford you know now why I felt so sorry for you in the time past & that I share your present sorrow in your lonelyness [sic] with both of your dearest ones [cone? gone] but what a great consolation it
