HOBART COLLEGE, PRESIDENT'S ROOM. GENEVA, N. Y. June 29th 1893

Dear Mrs. Stanford

One of the instances in which a strong personality impresses us, no matter how great the distance between us, occurred to me, when arriving in Rome from the East, I thought of your son Leland, & hearing of your bereavement, joined you in Paris

My wife joins me in loving sympathy & devout aspiration for you; & in the hope that we may welcome you { ?} home here at your convenience.

Yours faithfully {N Potter, Pottro?}
