was more thoroughly appreciated than the loving expressions I recieved from you and your noble husband at the time of my own great sorrow. I came away from home hoping the change of scenes and meeting with old friends might help me, but I have been disappointed and now realize that nothing can bring a ray of sunshine into my life again, only the voice of God in our soul may show us, as we look up to Him that His strength is enough to enable us to bear it. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Rom. VIII. 18. I cannot say more - but with a great deal of love, I remain very sincerely your friend.
