During the past year I have
done considerable to interest the
lawyers of the state in the law
department, and you will be
glad to know that on all
sides I hear the kindest words
from them. Of course, it
is sure for each one to think
his department of paramount
importance, but I feel that the
law department in time will
become justly one of the more
important [facts, parts ?] of the University,
and I am constantly trying to
make no mistake in the methods
used to that end.
