Dear Mrs Stanford
Seeing
your life written up in the Delineator
impelled me to write to you.
How well I understood your every feeling
after your beloved child was taken.
Just five years ago the reaper
Death cut down from my side, the
sweetest lovliest girl that ever absorbed
a mothers heart. At first I was stunned
and it seemed to me so strange to see
those around me taking any interest
in things of this life, but gradually
my better nature was aroused and I
like you sought to benefit those around
me. I had no money to give, but I
could give my best thought and
work. To help me in this I write to you
The "Women's Club" of Cleburne of
which I am President has determined
to make an effort to give to Cleburne
a Public Library. Now Cleburne is
