If there is any hope, that through Mr Stanford,
Colonel Grant could get any position, even a tempo-
rary one in which he could make a living for
the present, or in which he would have a
chance to rise, I will be most truly grateful
if you would drop a line, and Colonel Grant
would immediately call to see Mr Stan-
ford. He is a gentleman, able and willing
to work hard for a simple living.
