We have had a most
delightful summer, very
little extreme heat and I
have enjoyed the chances of
rest in the afternoons to
get my winter sewing done.

With Mrs. Stewart
riding a bicycle and
the Senator laid up with
an injured knee, you can
see that family have their
hands full. The Senator is
evidently in for a tedious
siege as possibly some
little surgical operation
will be necessary + in the
meantime he cannot
