Dear Friend: -
I have fixed on Saturday the 25th day of May as the day for the recept ion. I will let you know on my return the house. I am obliged to see the Railroad Company first in regard to cars. and the trustees and their wives.
I shall be back in time to make the necessary preparations. I think it would be wise to issue cards to each of the class and also to the Professors and their wives in order to protect ourselves, as in a City like San Francisco uninvited and unexpected persons might take advantage and intrude.
I leave tonight for New York Miss Gertrude Stanford accompanying me.
Youre with friendly meetings

I still desire to give a Reception to the Pioneer Graduating Class. I designate my city residence for the purpose.
I also wish to extend the courtsey to all of the Professors and their wives. Will you kindly give the invitations as I will not have time on my return to issue formal ones to them.

Campus grounds.
The day fixed upon is Saturday May 25th from three to six P.M. All the Trustees and their wives will be invited.
I would be pleased to have you and dear Mrs Jordan receive with me.
The car rocks so badly I can hardly write. We will soon reach Omaha and this must be mailed there.
Yours most sincerely Mrs Leland Stanford April 26/95
