Resolutions on the death of Mrs. Leland Stanford, a member
of the National Society of Colonial Dames in
California.

WHEREAS, In the death of Mrs. Leland Stanford, California
loses one of her grandest and noblest women; be it

RESOLVED, That in the passing away of Mrs. Leland
Stanford, the National Society of Colonial Dames in California,
feels called to mourn the loss of one of its most honored
and esteemed members; her blessed example of a pure and ex-
alted Christian life; her long record of usefulness for
others, and her great work for Stanford University, will
always endear her memory to us.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of these resolutions
be sent by the Corresponding Secretary to Mr. Charles G.
Lathrop of Stanford University, to Mr. Ariel Lathrop of
Albany, New York, and to the Hon. S. F. Leib, President of
the Board of Trustees of Leland Stanford Junior University.
