Dear Sir
I hope you will [?] the liberty I have [taken?] in writing to you. I have a boy 16 years old the 16th of last May that I would like if possible to get ino the [Stanford Jr.?] University school when it opens but don't know what to do to get him this [?] [the lines?]. Will you please infor me if possible he has always been [an a rank?] and has had very little schooling living in the foothills there is not much [chance?] for a boy to advance very far. If there is any reference wanted I can [give?] them as to [our?] respectability, honesty, [etc?]. By answering you will greatly oblige
