I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of January 11th, in which you recommend Mr. Theodore Serrao for the Chair of Roman Law and Literature in the University now in course of construction at Palo Alto. Your letter will be filed for consideration when the time comes for selecting the Faculty.

I hope that the Institution will be ready for Students by the Fall of this year.
