Dear Mother and Daddy,

I am sitting here with my little ring on hoping that no one will come in and discover me. I have been keeping it in my overnight case, locked and I have a lot of things on top of it. I have preparations all made so that if some one should happen to come in I could hide it in a hurry.

I registered today and got my grades. I guess I shall have to tell you the awful truth that I did get a D in accounting however, I didn't go minus because I did get an A in my Political Science

course. it is a little disheartening though because it is the only D I have ever gotten. I got a C in my other course. Kay, of course got a B in both accounting and business law. I don't know how she does it but she always seems to manage to come through with a B or an A after getting sound Fs on all the midterms. It is most discouraging. I got all registered today - the only trouble being that I couldn't pay my tuition because I came off without any checks. I went into town today to see if I couldn't possibly get one. But there isn't

corner from the church. We walked over the wedding and got there just as it began. It was an awfully sweet wedding, the only trouble was that Art had trouble putting the ring on Judy's finger. Judy had just a darling wedding dress. It was a white satin [vallet?] length dress with a big hoop at the bottom. It had some design of seed pearly at the top, and then she had a Juliet cap made out of pearls and a tiny white veil. The reception of course was lots of fun. There weren't very many older people there, just mostly all the people we knew at Stanford. The reception was at the Bohemian Club. After

the reception everyone went out to dinner together, and we had a huge table for about twenty people. That lasted for most of the evening, but we did go over to the Mark Hopkins hotel for a little while afterwards to dance. Both Kay and I stayed with [Willie?] over in Berkeley. It was loads of fun staying with her and we just fooled around at her house until about four. Jack arrived about three to take us all back to campus, he came just as we were about to have lunch; so he ate with us too. We had a little trouble getting back because [Willie?] was bringing all of her
