Dear Mother and Daddy,

The purse you sent me has just arrived and it is by far the cutest thing I have ever seen. I was so thrilled with it I showed it to everyone immediately including Mrs.Reynolds, and everyone thought it was absolutely darling. The little pin on it does look just absolutely perfect. I couldn't possibly be more pleased. My other clothes also arrived, and I was very pleased to get them. Thank you very much for sending them off so promptly. I sent back the laundry box with my blue bathrobe and black satin dress in it for Margie. You can send my brown dress back in

it, and I also wish you would send up my ice skates. They are in my little closet.

My classes have started off quite well. I havn't had an awful lot of work to do as yet. I have had two of my professors before and they are both just tremendous professors, but unfortunately I don't care for my International Relations professor at all. I talked to Dr. Popper the other day and it didn't turn out at all well. He said he wasn't going to be tracking privately at all this winter, because the school had just started an opera workshop, and of course had put him in charge of it. He said that getting it started was more work than he could possibly take care of.

Sally Darnes had a little bridge party this afternoon. There were just about eight of us there including Sally. Willie was there painting the outside of the house. It was losts of fun - Anne Huntsburger, Marit Evans and Mary Larkin were all there, and of course I don't see them very often - so I was glad

to be able to talk to them. I must say I didn't have very good hands

Last night I went to the movies with Jack and saw The Exile with Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. Naturally I thought it was tremendous, but Jack just didn't like it at all.

I really havn't been doing anything out of the orainary this week. I have just done the work I've had to do. Jack has come over every night, but not for too awfully long, because he plays basketball, twice a week. Eve and I have spent some time fixing up our room and it looks just darling now. I got my little pots

planted with some philodendrums and they do look just adorable. She also got three little pictures for our walls of naughty little girls - so the entire room is quite complete.

Sunday night. Last night we went to the Officers Club at Moffat Field. There was quite a group of tremendous people there. Mostly the same group that we always see on Saturday night. I've had a long big table, and it was lots of fun seeing everyone and talking to them. This morning Jack and I went to church. Dr. Johnston preached the sermon, and I was so surprised to see him there. I tried to get to speak to him,
