I have spent most of the time since Tuesday studying, mostly reading books for my French course. The last book I was reading is by an author who just hates America, and it is very interesting to read his descriptions and opinions of different American institutions, especially the movies. Of course they seem to me a little far-fetched, but it is never the less fascinating reading. I hate to say I quit reading them in French because I couln't read fast enough that way, but there is one more that I will have to read in French.

I did take off a little time Wednesday night to go out with Jack. Kay went out with Bud, and Carol went out with Jack's roommate Milt Iverson. We wern't gone very long, and we had a wonderful time the whole time. I lent my ear glue to Bud as sort of a joke because he seemed to think he needed something to train his ears back but I doubt if he ever really tries it. He was sort of revolted at the thought of tieing a scarf around his head while the glue set, and seemed a little relieved when I said that he could used a towel instead, but I don't think that will work as well.

Thank you again for suggesting that you get me a new dress to wear to the wedding. It would be awfully nice to have one then because it will be a grand reunion for everyone, and I'd like to have something new to wear, but if it is too much trouble, please don't, because it isn't imperative that I have one, and I can get one myself the next week, but thank you so much any way for wanting to get one.
