Dear Mother and Daddy,
There really isn't too much to write about. Every one has just started studying like mad for finals which are week after next. I had an accounting test this morning which wasn't too bad, except that I didn't quite finish. I also had a practice test in Business Law the other day which I missed the point of completely. It was very much like cases we have just had in problems dealing with performance of conteract[?], but instead it was about something else which we had had way at the beginning of the quarter. Fortunately it didn't count - practically everyone in the class

made the same mistake. I did go out to a shower for a girl named Jeanne Waters on Tuesday. She lived in the house last year and is going to be married right after finals. It was given at a place called Allied Arts which is in a most wonderful place. They sell all kinds of china, silver, and things for the home - and also the the serve by far the most wonderful tea ever. Every one ate until they were absolutely blue in the face. Kay and I had gone into Palo Alto the day before to get the present. Four of us were giving it to her, and just as we were sitting at the bus stop with the package figuering out how much each person was to pay, up

walked Jeanne - the girl the present was for. She thought we were very casual about the package and she couldn't possibly know about it, but Jeanne said the next day that we had looked very guilty; so she knew immediately.
I had a rather gastly experience yesterday. Kay, Illie, and I went out about four to play golf on the Stanford Golf Course. It was the very first time I had ever set foot upon a golf green, and needless to say I didn't do too well. It took me about sixteen strokes to play one hole and I got the ball in the sand trap every time. We played until it was too dark to see, and even then we only got through four holes. We

were way far away from the Club House, and had rather a difficult time getting back. Eve had come along as our score keeper, and the four of us had an hysterical time it was so funny. Luckily there was no one around to watch us.
The rest of the time I have been studying business law and accounting. I havn't seen much of Jack since I came back , he just came over for a little while on Monday.
Thank you very much for letting me have Ruth home over the vacation. Thank you especially for taking us to Riverside - we both enjoyed going there so much. I understand there are some fabulous catecombes underneath the hotel which we missed. I know to that Ruth did enjoy coming home very much.
I must go to the library now and study.
