Dear Mother and Daddy,
Jack left East Wednesday morning - I took him to the station; so that he left his car with me, just in case I might want to use it. It was certainly convenient too, because it has been raining like mad. Even though he is gone I don't seem to have any more time than ever.
Last Wednesday we had campus elections which were by far the most exciting thing ever. There was one boy who was running that had never done anything in his life, and no one knew. Some boy who has very eccentric ideas backed him and they put on a terrific

gag campaign. Every one thought it was funny at first, but after a while people decided that he would be very good, and knocked themselves out trying to get him elected. There was another boy running who was a Delt, and had had the proper background to run for President, and all of us were trying like mad to get him elected. If the other boy had been made President it really would have been drastic, and he only lost by five votes out of about 5,000. The vote was taken on a preferential system, and if it hadn't the Delt would never have won. He was about 500 votes behind before they started counting the second and

third votes of runner-up. They had to count the votes four separate times. Every one was down at the Union going mad - while they were counting. After the results were finally out, all the Delts came over to the house and took absolutely everyone in the house out for a party. It was really tremendous, no one was with anyone, every-one was just with everyone else, but no one was ever left alone and there are certainly a lot of girls in this house that the boys would never have dated. Unfortunately I got with a boy at first that didn't know me or that I was the girl that was engaged to Jack, and I could tell he was just a little unhappy

when he saw my ring. But afterwards, I got with some older boys that are Jack's best friends, and I did have a wonderful time. Everyone was in such an hilarious mood.
On Thursday night, Illie and I went to the library like good little girls, but we got way laid on the way. They were showing an old Douglas Fairbank's movie downstairs and so we made the doorman let us in so we could see it. It was the funniest thing I have just about ever seen, and the best movie I have seen in a long time.
Yesterday I spent the entire time studying. I have two tests next week and I can't get caught again. I have been wading through Henry IV.

I got another demi-tasse' cup and saucer, from a girl named Markie Cleek. I don't think you have ever met her. It is just adorable. It is white with an all our floral design in gold. I was wondering if it might not be a good idea if we could try and take the two teacups I got back and see if we couldn't get a demi-tasse size, sinze I have more of them. It really won't do me much good to have a few of both, but if I had enough of one, I could use them. Mrs. Huntsburger's came from Bullock's Welshers and Mrs. Stanton's from Barker Bros. I think we could get the same ones in the other size I/we did it soon enough.
