Dear Mother & Daddy,

Well this has been another long week. I had a test in General Geography last Thursday and one in Shakespeare on Friday. I really do think I did alright in these - for a change - especially in Shakespeare. However, I did study constantly and I do think its about time that I did get something good.

B. J. Jones' wedding was simply wonderful and it was so much fun going. We stayed at a home that B. J. had arranged for us to stay at. The people were awfully nice, although we really didn't see much of them. B.J. had a beautiful dress decorated in a very

elaborate seed-pearl design. It also had an accordian pleated panel at one side that was caught up with a pearl medalion. The bridesmaids all wore bouffant orchid dresses, they were off the shoulder and had bussels in the back. They had the reception at a women's club house, there was a large dance floor around which tables were set and a rather large orchestra which played until one. They had a special dance for the bride and groom, and then one where the bride and groom and all the parents danced. I had never seen a bride and groom dance before, and it really was quite thrilling. They had delicious food - a tremendous cake

which we are still eating and all kinds of hors d'ourves. Of course it would have been a lot more fun if Jack had been there, but still it was quite exciting. I danced with Mr. Reitze, Eve's father, and he was certainly the livliest person I have danced with in a long time.

We started home the next day about two. First we went over to B.J.'s house to see the presents. She had a wonderful selection of them, but the most fabulous thing was their little house which we went to see. It has six rooms, including a darling panelled den.

That same Saturday I went to a luncheon at Allied Arts - a tea room

and gift shop which is near here and very special. It was supposedly given by Jeanne Maynard but it was really given by Carol Chase to announce her engagement. The place has beautiful gardens and table was set right by the gardens outside! To announce it, she had little white vases at each plate with little bouquets of spring flowers in them and a little handel over the vase which had two little silver bells on them, one with their names, and other with the date. It really was a beautiful luncheon.

Today I went to a baby shower for Anne Huntsberger. I went with Sally Davies and there were a lots of girls there

that I don't see very often; so it was a lot of fun. We gave her a little night lamp that was in the shape of a shoe, suppossedly like the one in the nursery rhyme, "there was an old women who lived in the shoe". There was a little window in the top of the shoe that the light shines through. It really is just darling.

I havn't been doing anything tonight or last night because Jack hasn't been here, but I have had a little opportunity to catch up on my washing and things. I hope next week won't be so hard. But I can just see what is going to hapen now. I won't have any more tests until Jack gets back,
