Dear Mother and Daddy,

I find this rather a hard letter to write. I received my bank statement today, and to be perfectly blunt I shouldn't have written those last two checks! I am not over drawn very much; just about two dollars but still I know I shouldn't even have let it done that. I really thought that I had been keeping pretty close track, but I guess I wasn't. I am awfully sorry, but I'm afraid that I will need some more money. I will still have a bill from Mr. Holt and a small house bill. The only thing I can say to console you is that they just announced today that tuition was being raised one hundred dollars next year; so its lucky that I getting out now. Room and board is also being raised.

I really havn't been doing much of anything lately but study. I have a taxation test on Friday. I was supposed to have it last Monday, but I just knew I wouldn't do very well if I took it then, so I went into see the professor and he was very nice about it. a little old lady in one place who gave up the complete history of porceline. It was very interesting, but her specimenes were simply awful. After that she took me out to Allied Arts for tea. We simply have to go there when you come up - you'd love it so. In fact I think Ruth's mother is going to have a luncheon there for several of the girls and their mothers.

This was a very warm day, and they served tea out in the garden. You simply couldn't do anything nicer.

I must get back to my studying more. I am sorry I had to write you such bad news.

Love to all,

Mary~
