Dear Mother and Daddy,
The bicycle has arrived in perfect tact and I am certainly glad.
I have just come back from a delightful little history test. I feel as if I could be rung through a wringer. I had to write on some nice little question of what was the purpose and cause of Greek thought and relate it to their science, philosophy, religion, art and literature. I wrote beautifully on the different theories of though concerning, nature, cause, and purpose of life, but I didn't do much relating. I only hope I can pass the course. I am getting down to studying a little better and I think that I can end up like I did at Marlborough. I talked to a

councelor the other day and she didn't seem to think that I should worry about anything as yet. I am though, especially about history and English.
You needn't worry about my forgetting to go to church. I've gone every Sunday since I've been up here except once. I don't exactly understand what they are talking about but I'm sure that it is all very educational, whether it is inspiring or not. Last Sunday they had a rabbi talk. It seemed to me that he chanted most of his sermon. It was at least interesting to hear him whether I understand him or not.
This Saturday I am going to another Med. school affair. I've decided that the nicest and most desirable boys are in

the Med. school. It is going to be in San Francisco. I've never been up there since I been here and Sally Sutch and I are going together. It's going to be a south sea island party and I've been wracking my brain trying to think of something appropriate to wear. I've been wracking my brain so much lately. I'm afraid it will be a wreck by the time I come home.
