Dear Mother and Daddy,

Well, now to tell you everything that happened on the week-end. It was rather full, but I doubt if I will have many more like it. On Friday night I went to a little party here on campus with Bob Roartree. Sally and Jim went of course and we also got a date for a little Chinese medical student with an awfully cute new little Chinese girl. She didn't seem to like him so well though, and that was rather disappointing. Incidentally, I wore my purple suit. The next afternoon we went with them again to the Cal. - College of the Pacific game. We got two more dates for that, one was with Sally Teachout. The game was at Cal. and it took us quite a while to get there. The game was rather exciting, but even I thought it was quite poor playing. After the game we took a little tour of the Cal. campus and made nasty remarks about it, but I really have to admit that it was very pretty, next we took a half hour boat ride on Lake Merrit in a boat that was as slow as a
