Dear Mother and Daddy -

The most miraculous
thing just ocurred - really.
I got an A on a Civ. test.
Not only that, there were only
two A's in both classes and
one of them was mine. I
can't understand how I did it.
But I'm all enthusiastic about
studying for my Civ. final
tomorrow. I think that I
have a fairly good system of
studying worked out - I'm
certainly am going to try it
again. I also just got back
from taking my Spanish
final and I think that I did
all right on it. Physical Science,
however, is another story.

Something else funny
has happened - George - much
to my surprise - called again
and asked me to the Christmas
Fortnightly - At the Christmas
Forts, lots of the old members
come back and look very
superior at the other members.
I really think that they enjoy it
though I asked him if he
would mind if I looked [bored]
for the effect and he said no -
so I said that I'd go. I forgot
what you said about Mr. Puder
