Dear Mother and Daddy,
Well everything is just fine now. Friday afternoon I was discouraged about everything in general, but by Friday night every thing was just fine. Bob called and asked me out at which I was rather surprised, so everything is fine now.
A most wonderful thing happened also Friday night. I was appointed head chairman of the Roble Branner, Casa Ventura (those are the three Freshman girls halls) formal. In a way it's more of an honor than being put on the Honor List, because it shows that the house mother's [sponors], etc. think that you are responsible and capable - Well, they'll soon find out, I just hope that I don't have to disappoint them. It will be good experience just so long as nothing disasterous happens.
I've been very busy all week-end. I studied all Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and all

this afternoon, but I still seem to have an awful lot to do, they'er just doesn't seem to be any end. Spanish and French have me a little worried. I'm beginning to think that I shouldn't have taken them both at the same time.
As I said, Friday night I went out with Bob to a dance at one of the halls where the med. students live. Saturday night I went to the big dance they always have here the week after Registration with George. I had a real super time. Late this afternoon Bob and Jim took Sally and I to a little concert here and then we went out to dinner. I had the most wonderful steak. It was as big as a salad plate and it took me half an hour after every one else had finished to eat it. In the end I still had to leave about an ordinary sized serving on my plate.
Well, I must go to bed now.
Love to all, Mary -
