Dear Mother and Daddy,
Well tomorrow is the big night of the dance and needless to say, I'm a little worried about it. Mostly that people enough havn't bought bids - but then, there is always the last minute rush - so I guess that that will be all right. The decorations are all done and we are going to start decorating the gym tomorrow at eight - it will probably take all day. There is going to be a yellow brick road along one side of the gym wall with the Oz characters going up and scenes all along the road from the book. On the next wall the road leads to the emerald city which shines and which has a rainbow behind it. I've gotten Kay and Ruth and two other girls to sing some songs from the movie the "Land of Oz". It should be good. I only hope that enough people come. I'm wearing my yellow formal and I'm taking Bob. I'm sending some Stanford Dailies and if you look you can find something about the dance in them.

Ther'er some more, but I couldn't find them and anyway you'll probably have enough trouble looking through these. Every Freshman wants to get his name in the paper, but I've certainly paid for getting mine in so much. The Tyler boys are forever kidding me about "Miss Lesnett says" or asking me for a quote. I'll just never live it down.
This is Friday night and I didn't go out, but I certainly didn't mind because I've got a cold and I've been trying real hard to get rid of it, not especially because of the dance but I have a mid-term exam in Civ. on Monday, and one in Physical Science and Spanish on Tuesday. That is really just too much for this week-end, but I shall just have to do it.
I nearly killed myself in Physical Science lab. yesterday. We had to do experiments with chlorine, bromine, and iodine and I got a little too much gas up my nose from testing one of them. Nothing happened. I just couldn't breathe for a minute and my eyes stang terribly. Lab is fun though.
