Dear Mother and Daddy,

I've just gotten your consoling letter and I was never so pleased. I had another Spanish test this morning and I'm awfully afraid it turned out about the same way the last one did. I just don't know what to do about it, because I've been studying my Spanish very well. I've just been talking to one of the girls in my class who got an A last quarter and who has gotten the same grades as I have this quarter. She said that our old professor asked about our grades and he wasn't to surprised at them, he just said we were certainly getting a work out this quarter by which he meant that the professor was hard - so if another professor admitted it I guess he must be awfully hard. But still I should have something better to show, and I'm not going to do anything until I do.

My physical science however has been coming better and I got quite a good grade on my lab. quiz and I did much better on my lab. work too.

I got a hole in my plaid skirt because of some chlorine I spilt on it - After this I'm wearing something extremely indifferent that I don't wear very often. My black and white checked skirt and my blue skirt were also getting a little used so I got a new one a little while ago. Its a pleated skirt and has a white blackground with a very thin red and blue line through it. It really is awfully good looking.

Today is family day here, and I certainly wish that you and daddy were here to come and have dinner with me and go to all the things they'er having this afternoon. They asked me if I'd work the elevator in the Hoover War Library - why I'll never know - but I've never worked an elevator before - and any way it broke last summer and I'd hate to be in it when it did. All the parents are arriving in the lobby now. I certainly wish mine were. Don't worry I'll certainly be able to go to church with you on Easter Sunday.

Love to all, Mary

P.S. Thank you very much for the check book and money.
