Dear Mother and Daddy
Nothing much has happened since I last wrote you. I havn't really done anything except go to my classes. I've been studying tonight for a Physical Science test tomorrow, which is a make-up test that all the class failed. I got back my Civ. mid-term test and I got a B, but I felt rather guilty about it since I know I should have gotten a lower grade. I didn't even answer two questions. There were only two B's in the class and no A's.
Today we had a Founder's day assembly which was a memorial to the founders of Stanford. It was very impressive. It was held in the Memorial Chapel. Dr. Tressider game a speech and there was a long procession of the choir and all the old professors, which had been at Stanford from the time that it was founded. Then the president of the student body and the vice president laid a wreath on the alter. It certainly made me realize even more how lucky I am to be a part of Stanford.
Tomorrow is going to be

quite a day. It's Sadie Hawkins day and there is a backward dance and a race for girls to catch men. I've asked George and it's going to be awfully funny. I have to call for him and I'm going to give him a corsage of carrots and onions. Sally is taking her car and we are going to pick them up together. I've a good mind to arrive a couple of hours late. We'er going to pull a lot of their old stunts. There is also an Olympic day in the afternoon when there are going to be a lot of races, including the Sadie Hawkins race. In the other races they have two boys and two girls representative from each class. The rest of the people watch. They asked me to be in the tandem bicycle race as one of the Freshman girls. I'll have to race on the tandem with a Freshman boy. It certainly will be an event to initiate my darling new pedal pushers.
