Dear Mother and Daddy,

I really feel very guilty not having written sooner and I certainly should have, but there really hasn't been much to write about. There is very little going on this last week before finals for every one feels they have to study, especially me. No one planned to go out at all this weekend, but in the end almost every one did. I finally decided to go out with George tonight, although I really hadn't planned to, but he's being inducted into the Navy on April 4 and I'll probably not go out with him again. I'm waiting for him now. I don't even have the least idea where we are going. Four of his friends, his roommate Fargo Wells and some others are all leaving at the end of this quarter; so they wanted to do something together before they all left. We'll no doubt have a wonderful time; they are all just wonderful boys, but to tell the truth, I'd just as soon stay here and do my French. I want so badly to get good grades, but I know they arn't going to be as good

as they were before. I'm a little consoled that almost everyone else's grades have dropped, but still that should be no reason why mine should.

I've made out my subject's schedual for next quarter. I'm going to take Spanish, Sociology and Contemporary Foreign Governments. I'm also taking a reading development course to aid me in reading faster. I'm very pleased with my program. I hope I'm going to be able to do better with them even though they are much more advanced courses than any I've taken yet. There will probably be quite a few less distractions next quarter anyway, with both Bob and George gone, so I can probably get more work done since I probably won't have hardly any dates.

I shall be home on next Friday evening on the Daylight at the Glendale station.

Love to all, Mary -
