Dear Mother and Daddy,
I arrived safely today and I am now just about ready to go to bed. Tomorrow classes start.
I had a very comfortable ride - but I did sleep with Sally. We didn't exactly feel right having a whole berth to ourselves, since no one else did and so we thought we'd better see if there was any one we knew very well that had to ride in the chaircar. There was and so, Sally and I slept together. I'm afraid we would have gotten a little lonesome by ourselves. But I'm awfully glad you got the berth and it was just wonderful of you to go to all the trouble.
Ruth and Kay had brought Sally's car to the station and left it the night before, so we didn't have any trouble getting back to the campus. We went straight from the station to the Administration building to register. I finished registering this morning and spent the whole afternoon, except for about an hour at the boathouse, in cleaning my room. I decided to clean it from the
