Dear Mother and Daddy,
I've just gotten the package you sent me and I was so glad to get it - I was especially glad to see my little blue gloves.
Nothing has happened since I last wrote you but I feel very discouraged at this point. I just finished taking two very important mid-terms and I feel anything but confident about them, especially my Political Science test. I feel as though I would have done much better not to have written it. I don't think that the test was very fair because we were asked things the professor had said he wouldn't question us about like what present memebers of the English Cabinet were Liberal-Conservative etc. but I should have known enough to study them. For my Spanish I was supposed to know about ten printed pages of vocabulary words. It just isn't fair to have two such important tests right together, especially at the beginning of the week - I went to the library and immediately began

studying for my next Pol. Sci. test - I'm not going to do this again - but I don't know what I'm going to do about Spanish. The only thing that pleases me at all is that Mrs. Belenky was very pleased with me yesterday and she slapped me on the back - well at least my music lessons have improved quite a bit this quarter and Mrs. Belenky have me a wonderful new sonata.
Well I'd better go wash out some things now. I'll have some better grades to report.
