Dear Mother and Daddy,
Well, one down and two to go - I had my political science test this morning - it was lovely. I think that I shall get a C in the course. At least I studied hard for it; I studied every day last week and fourteen hours yesterday. I only had to know the governments structure of England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Russia, China, and Japan. I think the other tests will be a little easier, that is if I study.
Kay and I are all fixed up. We can stay at the D.G. house and Gertie asked us to stay with her, so we are going to stay Thursday and Friday night with her and Saturday at the D.G. house. The man from the station called me and said he had heard through Los Angeles that I was trying to get a reservation for Sunday and that he was trying his best to get it for me. He said he would get them for us either a berth on the Coaster or on the Daylight. We would really rather not come on the Daylight

because we won't have had much sleep and because graduation is that day and if we get a chance to stay and see it we'd like to because we wouldn't have another chance to see it for four years. Well we will just have to wait until he calls me again. He was certainly nice and oblidging and seemed to be very anxious to help me.
The med. school is having a last little party tonight some where near here - just where I'm not sure. Sally is going with Jim again who suddenly appeared just out of nowhere. Kay is going with Bill Skoag and Ruth is going with Bud Speigl - so all of us together should have a gay old time. I was in a quandry about what to wear. The only thing appropriate was my cotton dotted dress which I'd worn out with Bob a million and one times, so I decided to tell him that it was the only thing I hadn't packed - not that I have to make excuses. Then I decided I'd really better pack so I would be telling him the truth. The

only thing is that my trunk in under a whole pile of other trunks. Last night will I was studying diligently Janet Raisch who lives across the hall from me and Nancy Gallager who lives next door decided to have a little fun to ease their studying; so they stealthily placed all the trunks in the corridor at my door, stacking them all up so I couldn't possibly get out. Meanwhile I was entirely oblivious of what was going on - I had to commend them because they didn't make a bit of noise - no one else heard them either. After I while they called me and asked me to come out and see something funny that had just happened. I opened the door and ran into a stack of trunks that came up to all but about six inches of the top of my door. I got up on top of my chair and peered out and there were trunks packed solid all around me. It was certainly a barricade - the only thing that saved me was that the people comming through the halls and to make a passage way through the hall to pass

through it. In the meanwhile I was trapped in my room with a huge bug. The whole situation was very conducive to study.
I wish you would please send me a check book immediately for I don't have any more. I have forty dollars in the bank and I owe a bill to Mrs. Belenky for thirty. I have several little bills to pay before I leave and I can't send my trunk until I can pay the man to take it to the station. If I get a berth on the train I shall have to pay some extra for that so I would appreciate it also if you would send me two extra dollars, to pay these little expenses. I was very proud of myself in believing that I was working out my budget so I would come out quite a bit of top, but it seems as though I didn't quite make it. Anyway I should hate to be up here next week-end without a little extra money in case something would come. So I would appreciate it very very much if you would do this.
