Dear Mother and Daddy,

Not too much has happened since I last wrote you. I'm having a very peaceful week-end and have been studying Pol. Sci from 12:30 until 5:00 this after noon. I've gotten sort of a headache from studying so long. Ruth isn't going out tonight so we will probably spend a lovely evening study ing. It's raining out any way and there isn't any thing going on here at all - so we will have a lovely little party all our own.

Plans changed a slight bit all of a sudden - so I was certainly glad I had spent my afternoon studying. The Sigma Chis had some sort of a dinner party that Ruth and I went to at the last minute. Of course it was rather late to accept but I really didn't care. I went with a boy named Jim Banter who is in the graduate school of business. He is very nice but awfully quiet, but I made it my opportunity

to find out all about stocks and bonds. It wasn't exactly the most exciting dinner con versation, but that was what he liked to talk about, so I found out all about it. Of course I ate two dinners and am still slightly stuffed. It was really a very hysterical evening because every one came with all the wrong people and no one knew about it - every one nearly died when every one else walked in. It was a lot of fun.

Friday night they had a party for the sailors on campus. I really didn't enjoy it too much because all the boys were sort of drops and six little seventeen old Freshmen that even Margie would turn up her nose at kept rotating, cutting in on me. But they had some entertainment and poor me, I had to play the piano. I really didn't mind because I just had to play one piece, but I havn't played for anyone in so long and I got so scared that I really didn't care how I played, just so I got through.

The clock and my pedal pushers came and I was so glad to get them. Of course my pedal pushers didn't arrive in time for my field trip, but we are going to have another one very soon; so I'll have them then. I'm so excited about the brown suit. It sounds just wonderful and I know that I'll just love it. I can hardly wait for it to come. I think there has been a mix up concerning the slip. What I recieved was a white satin short one. I didn't think anything about its being the wrong one because I had needed one and I thought you had just sent it to me because you had remembered that I needed it. When you said an evening slip I sort of wondered; so I looked at the white one + found it was a size 16; so I knew that couldn't be right. Luckily I hadn't hardly touched it so I'm sending it back to you. I hope it will be all right.

Love to all, Mary -
