Dear Mother and Daddy,

I got my two tests back today and I think that you will be pleased when you hear what they were. In my German test I got an 98 and an A in my Political Science test. Only I found that in my Political Science test that gave me five points to many which will lower my grade to one point below an A. However in the end that one point won't make any difference one way or the other. I'm awfully glad that I got some good grades this week because without doubt I shall get some terrible ones later on, especially in Paleontology, it's very inter esting but its going to be my

death yet. In lab the other day I worked from one to five and only got it half done.

I went to another engagement party last Wednesday night. It just happend that Sally and I went over to the D.G. house for dinner that night and the candy was passed. It was very exciting, but not to much of a surprise because everyone was expecting the girl to do it sooner or later. she haddn't seen in twenty years. After my lesson I went with Mrs. Belenky to do her shopping - it was awfully funny, all the clerks at the grocery store must think she is absolutely out of her head. Afterwards she took me to have a coke - in fact we both had two - and then she drove me home. I had a very nice time Mrs. Belenky is very entertaining.

If you havn't sent my box of clothes by the time you get this and if you have the time; do you think you could get me some house shoes and send them along with it. Some white furry ones like I had before would be just wonderful. Please don't worry about them if you can't, but I would like some. Thank you also very much for fixing my clothes.

Lots of love to all, Mary -
