he's cut out to do, that won't matter. He's 31,
which isn't really too old. At that, it depends
on the individual, I think. They had plain
gold bands, no engagement ring. It's kind
of funny, but Les & I, who think so divergintly
on everything, & have so little in common,
agreed completely on every aspect of her
wedding, including the groom. Just talking
about it has brought Les & I a lot closer. Just
one thing, her parents reacted beautifully,
but I still don't think that calling them up
a week before the wedding & announcing
that next Sat. she was marrying a fellow that
they'd never even met, no matter how nice a
guy he is, was not the ideal thing to do. One
thing, if & when, I'll give you fair warning.
I promised Mr. Millett, that, if & when, if I
get disowned, he can give me away. Don't
worry though, if you can't understand your black
sheep, just be tolerant and don't push. It's too
late in life to do any more pushing.

up at Rudy's & passed on Elisa's news of expectation,
only I couldn't remember when
