Tues. 5-22-16

Dear Mother,
Hope you had a good time up at the [Newley's]. You and the old man ought to do that sort of stuff more often, especially when you come into the great pile of money that's going to be left each quarter that you don't have to plunk out the $500+ for what is viewed with increasing scepticism as my education. After August - the deluge to paraphrase Louis XIV. Deluge of money, that is. But before then, I may need a tutor to pass psych stat, so don't go shopping for gold plated canopeners just yet.

Talked to Kevin last Fri. Wonder what he looks like? We had a longer than usual conversation, mostly trivia. The MacNeill's phone has a long cord, so I was [prodding?] the 4 kids [thro?] dinner and cutting watermelon for dessert at the same time. Mrs. MacNeill views this sort of thing as a sign of brilliance. I shine at giving the twins a bath. Speaking of babysitting, today will be my last Tues. at the Singleton's after 10 months. There is a new Singleton due in about 4 days.

Sat afternoon I dropped in on Uncle Joe and Betty. I had to leave before Betty got home from an est. 1 hr shopping trip. When I left she'd been gone 4. I hope she found her way back. Uncle Josephine is quite a horticulturist. His parkway and backyard are magnificent. He's really got the hang of planting flowers. Roses, irises,
