Dear Mom and Dad

The semester has begun and most of the chaos
which prevails at that time is almost gone. Things
are starting to settle down to more or less routine.
I thought that it might interest you to know the
text of my courses. They are:

Econ 135 -- this is money and banking, the federal
reserve and the creation of money and
how the govt. regulates it

Bus Ad 150 -- this is labor and the history of
unions in America, this is particularly
good at this time due to the steel strike

bus ad 140 this is management controll, and production
management

bus ad 180 this is the economics of realestate, very
interesting, but very tough and has a lot
of reading and papers to turn in

Bus ad 133 this is investment principals and practices
the figureing of rate of return and the use
of bind tables and things like that.

I got a letter from Roy Allen wishing me good luck
and giving me a few pointers on how to study and what
it takes along those lines to be in the top ten percent
of a class in law school. Other than that nothing
much has happened. I got your letter mother and the
check which came in very handy as some of the courses
are using two books which runs into money. I'm set
for the coming month though and all in all it looks like
a good semester. I will not be down for the UCLA game
but I will be home for thanksgiving. I'll write you
in about a week. I hope to hear from you soon.
