watching a brain operation for Parkinson's disease, on TV. It was an interesting look at modern surgical methods. Soon, I think, they will be giving degrees in surgical engineering.

The green stamps you sent up with Kevin really did the trick. I took 14 books down & got a super-deluxe 2-speed Waring blendor. With the bathroom scale I got a couple of weeks ago with Star & Bar stamps, I am all ready to start on a project of fattening Jim up. Just like any project, you have to use the right tools. Malt - eggnogs should get things started & a recipe book came with it to supply variety to the plan. Of course, he has to think fat!

Your rich moisture suds will be here in about another week. Was there anything else you wanted?

Something rather awkward. About those pictures I wanted

framed. Are you familiar with the popular prices of custom frames? I wasn't. I picked out two dandies, met right for the prints & neutral to any furnishing scheme that might evolve. The total price was somewhat out of keeping with my estimates, probably yours, too. The best thing, I think, would be for you to figure out how much you expected it to cost & we'll pay the difference, because the whole deal came to $46.00, ( $33 for the Van Gough & $13 for the Winslow Homer). For this, I should have the original. They're sure going to look funny in our rebuild-as you-go house for a while, anyway.

2-6-60 As per your request, I will now mail this. My caseload had a big week, - alcoholism became rampant, active TB discovered in the most improbable set of lungs, had to spend time

in court, at the county jail daily, took 4 kiddies with active strep for penicillin shots, etc, etc.

2-14 Pooh's new red car-coat & levi's came yesterday. Really nice! Both are plenty big, but she can wear the coat now & almost wore it to bed last night.

Last Sun., we changed the position of our front door & barely got all the holes covered in time to go to bed. Next on the agenda is to carve up our closet & entrance hall & see what kind of a shape we're going to have for a closet.

Well, TODAY, I'll get this mailed, since it's almost an antique.

Thank you very much for the car coat & levi's, & I'll send the chair cover back as soon as I wash it to see if it will stay the same shape.

Love, Marcia
