Dear Mother & Daddy, The last few days have been pretty wild. Sun. nite, Pooh fell on Gert's brick hearth & cut her head, requiring 4 stitches. Now we're all coming down with colds.

The closet is all finished except for the flooring, which I have to order before Sears' sale ends Dec. 1st. The cabinets really look good & the plastic drawers work beautifully. There is so much room. I'm in the process of moving us in, & going through all those boxes in our bedroom. I'll bring back a lot of the stuff. I've got down there, after Thanksgiving.

The blanket & the steel mixing bowls all arrived safely. Thank you very much. That's a lovely blanket, & the color is perfect. Thank you also for all you did while you were here. I got a refreshing amount of relaxing & sitting done. We both fly around regularly on the electric broom. It's amazing how much dirt comes out of this rug. Could be that thing sucks

it right up through the floorboards.

Daddy - we really appreciate that leaf of the good federal cabbage. That $100 will just cover the sliding glass door we plan to put in the end of the dining room. Thank you very much for such a generous investment in our home.

Later - Sorry you're not coming up to eat pig & for the big game. We're surely content to trade the haul up to Cal for a seat in front of the TV

Pooh has finally come to that magic moment in toilet training. She trots right in without being told, takes off her own pants & pulls them up. Since this thing is so new & wonderful, we'll bring the beloved old beat-up potty chair along, so as not to mess up the majic with an unfamiliar pot. For the last few nights, she's been going to bed without diapers & so far so good. She only takes a bottle once in a while & then a half, but she seems to be able to handle it.

The other night, she decided to start wearing her new nightie. She sure looks funny towing that huge trap door around. You should hear her say "baggy britches".

The other day I got the mahogany to start the headboard for our bed. Jim cut out the pieces, & it's really going to be revolutionary. He's had some really clever ideas to incorporate into his original idea & plan. Right now, we've got that going, and also Pooh's dresser.

Today I ordered some of Pooh's Christmas toys from the Sears catalog. They have all the good brands at lower prices, & we get a 10% discount on top of that. Every toy store in town sends out a toy catalog so she's already selected some of the things she wants.

We're plannng on leaving Wed. evening after the little ones have sacked out & we've had a nap. We should be there any time after 6 A.M. Thurs. morning. With that shelf on the back seat, traveling should be no trouble & feeding the little one in the AM, a cinch.

Jim has messed with the car to his satisfaction. All the invisible gear & bearing noises that only he hears have been silenced. We seldom have unexpected breakdowns because he hears the metal thinking about it.

Jim, on reading the first part of this letter, insists that I clear up the business of who

has colds. Pooh is almost over hers, mine is going full tilt, the baby's is still there but HE never had one. He wishes to be known as "The Healthy One."

Pooh has been playing dolly with her stuffed animals. For some reason, she doesn't play with her dolls very much. She sticks "Colleen Bunny's" head under her shirt for "baby chow", then tenderly burps her & puts her to bed. The laundry basket is baby's playpen, & occasionally Pooh becomes the baby and & sits in the basket, then rolls up in a ball in her doll crib. After a day of this, when Jim comes home, she is ready to put on her cowboy hat & boots & chase Jim around the house with a cop gun.

The baby is really enjoying that cradle gym with the music box in it. She'll soon be pulling it down to hear the music by herself. She's really growing, & at last clothes are beginning to fit. We're really getting mileage out of those music boxes you sent. Pooh sleeps with the lamb & the bear, & the baby gets the cradle-gym & the bells.

As I promised you, Jim will mail this letter tonite. By the way, Pooh decided to take her Dublin horses to bed tonite.

See you Thurs. morning.

Love, Marcia
