Dear Helen:

Yesterday was the regular
day for the latter half of Alvarado
Row and for Dr. Jordan to keep open
house.

In the afternoon I preferred
to stay and see the girls off, and
so I ran up and stairs carrying
bags and grips, showing the expressman
where to find trunks,etc., working
as though I were anxious rather than
sorry that they were all leaving us,
but I merely wished to show my good
will before they left you know and I
made my little (?) feet weary indeed
but then I'd nothing else to do.

There were but about thirty
of the ninety left for dinner last
evening and more of those leave today.
The night was rather foggy, but a
