Dear Helen:

This letter is for you and
Grandma and Mrs. Hughes together and
you can read it to them as you are
quite well acquainted with my chiro-
graphy by this time.

The box came safe and Minnie
and I hung up our stockings Christmas
eve, she putting my gifts in mine and
hers in her stocking and then we had
the pleasure of emptying them in the
morning.

The hakerchief bag hangs
on the little brass knob on one corner
of the single iron bedstead which
stands in the south east corner of
the room twenty-five, and where Lucy
A. repose each night. In the bag are
a number of soiled hankerchiefs and
I thank you, Grandma and Mrs. Hughes
