he wanted to die, but could not so apologized and went away and this morning brough us some cake and fruit and nuts.

Mrs. Ray, Winnifred, litte Mabel Ray, Mr. Laughlin, Nellie and I went up on the hills and read poetry this afternoon. This country is just suited to such things. It is very warm now too and in the middle of the day warm enough for thin dresses, but cool in the morning and evening. A party is going to Mount Hamilton during Thanksgiving. Well, I'll close with my very best love to Papa and Helen.

Your loving daughter
Lucy Allabach
