Untitled Page 44right. When the rain comes I will have to ride in the bus which costs $250 a month. In about two week I have to get a new book and when Thanksgiving comes I have to get two more. Well nothing new happened this week except that Walter Camp the Stanford football coach arrived in Palo Alto yesterday. I met a fellow named Haehl from San Francisco who is going to study mining and is also thinking of going to Golden. He is a nice fellow. He is backing it in a house near the university and says he lives for about $10 a month. He wants me to live with him. I don't think I want to though when I have a chance to be in a fine place like I am in now. It seems hardly worthwhile writting, the time goes so fast that I will be home before I have time to think. |
