The Club has been honored by the
visit of Mr. W. Reginald Wheeler, Yale '11,
who has lately returned on furlough from the Hangchow College. Among
other things he said, "I want to make
a strong plea to you men especially
to return to China and engage in
teaching. After all, you men trained
in American colleges are still better
fitted to do the educational work in
China than us Americans." Mr. Wheeler
in his talk also showed himself a
staunch supporter of the Chinese Republic,
a great admirer of Chinese literature
and one who is especially interested
in the social and political progress
of China.

After this address Mr. Lee called
the business meeting to order.

The first matter came up for
consideration was the disposal of the
publicity fund. It has been
definitely ascertained from Miss L.L. Shen,
the Chairman of the Publicity
Committee in Berkeley, that Stanford
Club members of 1915 agreed to
subscribe towards the fund but
did not make any actual payment
