February 6, 1945

At 7:30 PM President George Leong called
the meeting to order. The purpose of this special
meeting was to plan a welcome party [insert]on February 21st[/insert] for Mr.
[Chien?] and Mr. Chiang who had recently arrived
from China.

[Jiny?] Tsen presented the plans to
the club. It was suggested by the University's
Committee on Public Exercies that the University
combine with the Chinese Club to give a welcome
tea for these two men. The faculty would be
invited as guests, while the Chinese Club members
would be hosts and hostesses. The plans also
suggested that the Chinese Club also have a
dinner for Mr. [Chien?] and Mr. Chiang that same
night after the tea. A sign up sheet was
passed around, and the people who signed
up for the dinner were to be held responsible
for being present. The club then planned
that after dinner the guets would come
back to the clubhouse where the students
would be able to talk to them.

President then announced that
[Grad?] pictures must be taken before February
15.
