7:45 Walk home, felt drunk. Too late & undignified for church.

8:00 Mistake: finished off coffee.

8:30 Drive to Tugs, short line outside. Talked with Jim Applegate & "Eve." Bought 1 glass of wine. Met Jim T (24) from Microsoft. Someone buys me glass of wine. Then Pat Yearby shows up. Single again. He's so cute & Irish looking. We play pinball a while.

10:30 Start to leave.

11:00 Tubs. I couldn't resist. I was up for "high old time." Relax in tub w/Dave Scholingberg. But I couldn't really get it up in steam room. So I walked around. Some big ones! Then ran into Red Carrow. Bunks.

12:15 Go home. Shower.

12:30 Take Unisom. Go to bed. Didn't sleep well due to coffee, but OK.

6:45 Mom calls. Grandma died. Felt embarrassed about tubs. Remembered her when I was a boy. Her voice! Playing checkers. Got alll info from mom & dad. Flights. Misc.

9:00 Didn't feel bad in tubs, but then I hadn't had a bad time. Maybe last 2 trips have been for meeting Rob Carroll? He seems to be on my wave length.

9:15 Read WSJ.

9:30 Go to work. Study wpfetch.c. Miscellaneous organizational stuff. Talk w/Tony on schedule.

5:00 Go home. Grocery shop. Wash jeans in hot water at soap laundry. Two loads of wash at home. Dick Van Dyke. Make & eat dinner. Do mail. Housework.

8:00 Mark finally calls. At airport. But I am tired. I want to relax. He wouldn't be in town till 9:00. He should get his feet on the ground. So we plan to see each other tomorrow.
