Thurs Apr 9 '87

7:30 Get up. Hard to get up earlier.

9:00 Read over review of a year ago seeing how I handled drop to $60K.

Just on basis that I work less and use up my vacation time travelling.

Look for old reviews. Only other one was May '84, when I met with Bill and he said of my design "I have nothing."

As far as I know I didn't do a review form in Nov 84, but Bill said he wasn't going to review me till he had something concrete.

And in May '85 we didn't meet or even talk.

For Nov, he just said leaving salary alone was adequate since its [greater than or equal to] Brodie, Harbors, etc.

9:30 Look over "Perspectives" to see if anything has changed in light of IBM's PC/2 or Microsoft OS/2. No...

there's more memory

dynamically sharable, ala current Windows

virtual memory

And better graphics, but still under Windows.

And Extended OS/2 will have communication to mainframe + mini, and database engine.

BUT IS THIS EXCITING TO ME?

It's nothing new, it's just extending current capacity and speed, which is very important, but significant to me?

I must listen carefully tomorrow at Apps mtg.

10:00 To Microsoft

10:30 Misc. Email.

10:45 Resync, diff + backup, list, makeall.

Reread Infoworld to see if I've missed anything of particular interest to me regarding OS/2 + PC/2.

12:15 Lunch. Lots of spaghetti

1:15 Get wkprint to work somewhat.

2:00 Resolve dialogs menu graying issues.

Fixswift non keypad arrow.

3:45 Misc, break

4:00 Gym + dinner

8:00 Get printing up to go to prcolrow.

10:00 Go home.
