Sept 14, 1980 (after knowing each other 2 months)

play turns to work busy getting buiness planned Seattle friends move w/ [Jorge?] stability vs capraciousness

Because I'm sure we will see each other again I will feel much more comfortable then, if you permit me to let you understand some feelings I have (It's not heavy, so relax -- I'm simply more of a collaborative than competitive person, and therefore I like to share what's on my heart / mind.) Of course the feelings have been there awhile, but it's just this weekend that I've discovered how to communicate them. Hold on to your hat! Now there was a lot of fun & excitement between us, but there was some sort of tension between us when you were here last; the 8709 [illegible, blues?]? I ought to be explicit: I realize, understand and accept your need for creative social and sexual freedom. I'd like our friendship to continue, but I can't carry it out unless I understand you. I am very flexible and can be excellent for your growth in life. You won't hurt me by fucking around. You do hurt me by being vague & ambiguous. At this stage, I can safely say we're good friends, so take it easy in your move and don't concern yourself about all this. But I'd greatly appreciate it if you keep these ideas in mind the next time we see each other. THANKS for letting me get all this out!
