Dear Dr. Tresidder:

The recent letter of greeting which was sent to Stanford Alumni in Military Service was truly welcome. It was encouraging to note that the University has a genuine interest in discovering the needs and desires of veterans, and plans to fashion its curricular and extra-curricular program accordingly.

In reply to the questions posed: yes, I do hope to return to Stanford, should I be able to do so my choice of graduate study would be law. To my knowledge it would not be feasible for graduate study in

this particular field to differ appreciably from the pre-war program in content, method, and tme required. Personally, I should like very much to have living accommodations at Lagunita where I lived [all?] year as an undergraduate. As to extra-curricular activities other than plays, educational programs, (i.e. the Concert Series,) and athletics I don't believe I'd have the time to indulge. As to undergraduate veterans they will doubtless wish to participate actively in clubs, dramatics, sports. They should be treated with equalityand accepted on the same basis as any other member of the student body.
