[Tuesday 6 March 1883]

Mr. Han [Hann] & Mr. Watson had breakfast
here, & left soon after. Clouds were
gathering up again. If it rains
before Thursday, Harry and
Mr. Bob will have to postpone their
departure. As Harry will have to
go some time, I hope he will get
away on Thursday, as the sooner
he goes the sooner we shall get back
to Sydney & then I hope most
sincerely there will be no more
partings. I washed & ironed nearly
all the morning and afternoon.
Mr. Lamond went out on
patrole, he will be away a fortnight.

[Wednesday 7]

Fine weather still. Went for a walk
this afternoon along the river bank
with Harry, and again this evening
towards the crossing. Our last stroll
until we return together to the
Norman. I am not going down
with Amy, but will wait here
for Harry, as Mrs. Shadforth will
feel more comfortable at my
being with Edith, when she is
away. Mr. Shadforth went to Gregory
Downs to bring on the dray which
Ernie had to leave before the wet.
