January 3rd. 1933. 4th. day Broadcasting.

The lunch score was 103 for 6, Wyatt being 8 and Allen 10. After lunch this
pair made a plucky attempt to stem the tide of defeat and added 32, the partnership
having scored 50 runs in 46 minutes, but with Wyatt being, for the eighth time of the
tour, out leg before wicket, the end came quickly.

The enthusiasm at the completion of the match was amazing. The Australians gave
Woodfall in particular a wonderful ovation, carrying him shoulder high through the
crowd. After wards they surrounded the pavillion cheering and calling on the
players, who came out on to the balcony. Jardine congratulated Australia on the
result and said that the public certainly got their moneys worth.

The final scores were:-
